Arrival in Auckand

The day started early at 4.30am or at least it should have done if we were asleep. After getting the house ready and finishing all the bits and pieces at around 12.30am we set the alarms for 4.25am and booked taxi for 4.50am.

Needless to say not much sleep was had by anyone - least of all because we kept on wondering if we would actually get to sleep.

The flight to Sydney was uneventful and then to Auckland where it was a chilly 9 degrees and raining when we touched down. Security was tight with no less than three check points, but we got out of the airport at 3pm. After battling the roads, traffic and the inclement weather we finally found the hotel - missed it twice - lets say it isn't obvious from the road.

We had a great pizza for dinner - fabulous beedone for me and a vego one for Phil, bought a bottle of wine and supplies for breakfast ... we will catch up with Glenn and all tomorrow night
An early night tonight will help the tiredness with a glass or two of NZ wine (without fish products of course) and we are looking forward to a fun day tomorrow

Would be great if I could locate the wireless internet -may have to rely on internet cafes... so sad - here am I with Matt's technology and can't get it to connect to the Internet.
